We Black People is a Faux Ethno Documentary with re-enactment of missing archives on Black resistance in Colombia on the atlantic coast (Palenque) and on Pacific (Choco) seen by Cameroonian filmmaker Jean-Pierre Bekolo. Bekolo is known for blending the line between fiction and documentary, as in WE BLACK PEOPLE (Nous Les Noirs) This genre explores historical re-enactments and sociopolitical critique, using the format of a documentary to question dominant historical narratives and represent marginalized voices.
